1. For their Children: That they will have a desire for “the right” friends and be protected from the wrong ones. Ps. 1:1, Pv. 1:10,11; I Cor. 15:33
   For the Parents: That I can resist the enticement of wanting popularity for my children and be willing that our family will be different from the world’s standards. I Sam. 16:7; Lk. 16:15.

2. For their Children: That they will be kept from the wrong mate and wait for the right one. II Cor. 6:14-17.
   For the Parents : That my words and actions will clearly reflect to my children that my mate is my first priority. I Pet. 3:1-4; Eph. 5:22-33

3. For their Children : That they, as well as those they marry, will be kept pure until marriage. I Cor. 6:18-20; Heb. 13:4
   For the Parents : That I might be generous in expressing appreciation and approval while holding back reminders of past failures and mistakes. Ps. 78:38-39; Pv. 15:23, 25:11.

4. For their Children: That they learn to totally submit to God and actively resist Satan in all circumstances. James 4:7, Eph. 4:27
   For the Parents : That I will recognize individual limitations, respect individual differences, and have realistic expectations for each child. Col. 3:21; Eph. 6:4

5. For their Children : That they will be wholeheartedly sold out to Jesus Christ. I Chron. 28:9, Mk. 12:30
   For the Parents : That prayer will be my immediate response to family joys and crises alike. Eph. 6:18, I Thess. 5:17-18

6. For their Children : That they will be hedged in, unable to find their way to wrong people or wrong places, unavailable to those poor influences. Hosea 2:6
   For the Parents: That I will not spoil my children with too many possessions or too few demands and responsibilities. Ps. 37:16; Ecc. 4:5; II Thess. 3:10
