I went on the mission trip to grow in my faith and to grow closer to the different people in the youth group. I liked the atmosphere of the entire trip. It was serious when it was supposed to be but was fun & laid back as well. I was glad that I was put with other Ground Zero people that I didn’t know well and with people from other parts of the country who I didn’t know at all. The people on my crew had all types of personalities, but we all worked well together. A guy named Zach acted just like my brother, so I felt right at home. God put me in the perfect crew! I loved it so much! Our homeowner was the nicest lady in the world. I know that we impacted her because she was quiet and happy when we got there, but by the end of the week, she was outside with us all day, telling us everything about herself and her family. She cried when we left on our last day. I have never really been around a school full of different types of Christians and that impacted me a lot. Everyone was unique in their own way but we all shared one thing…CHRIST! God showed me that I need to continue to help my family come to Christ. He used other families during worship time on Monday night to show me His reason for me to come on the mission trip. I’m not quite sure what God has planned for me in the future, but I am thinking about joining the praise team. God did amazing things this week. I can’t wait to go on the next mission trip!
