1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
God was teaching me to just be myself in the presence of God. The first half of the trip, I spent in silence before the Lord, listening for His voice. I didn’t hear Him till Friday night or Saturday and I realized it was very important. I was so stressed out, confused, scared that I was off track, and full of doubt because I couldn’t hear him. But if I did then I wouldn’t have been quiet, seeking, asking, and watching for Him like I did. I had to trust what the Bible says versus what I feel, think, or even believe. He taught me, through experience, that I don’t need to do anything or hear anything to still be in His favor. All along I was still right where I needed to be. He didn’t have to tell me to go to the right or the left because I was where I need to be. Also, I’d rather go where He wants because its where I truly want to be even thought it sees greener on the other side.

2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
Thursday night my friend Chrissy Tavel was prayed over for healing. Pastor Mike asked only those who didn’t doubt that she could be healed to come up and pray. I didn’t doubt God, but I doubted my prayer. Staying back was the best thing. If I hadn’t stayed back I would have never picked up on a few things like, the holy spirit moves in waves; that I am totally empty (nothing I can do can ever accomplish anything), and I must inquire the Lord. Even though I wasn’t around her I could still felt the Lord move. By the end I was a believer and agreeing with them in prayer. While everyone else was crying I was full of joy and confidence. I knew the Lord would answer our request because of our faith.

3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way.
I was used in things that were behind the scenes. While others preached and witnessed to others I was in intercession for my friends. That meant I got attacked a lot by the enemy because I was praying for those the devil was attacking. I took the heat so my friends didn’t have the enemy in their faces while trying to witness. One night we were doing outreach in the streets at night but it rained. While other worshiped and led kids to Christ a group went to the surrounding houses. One house was a man we had been witnessing to all week and accepted Jesus on Friday night. I prayed for him with a Dominican. The heat from the enemy was so hot; I knew the Holy Spirit was moving in those houses. I enjoy telling the devil to get out!

4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
More confidence in who I am is one thing I’ll be taking back with me. The other is a better understanding of the vision God has laid on my life; to be a missionary and to do this thing all the way. I have a better understanding of what I will do and have. Though I have no idea where all of it leads I know like never before God will be there to carry me all the way.
