1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
God taught me to love others unconditionally, no matter what they do or say. No matter how much they annoy you, you must love them. He has helped me understand how they think, and I have grown in knowing that. God has also taught me to listen carefully and discern his voice carefully. I have learned to spend time in prayer and be open to answers on anything. I am getting better at praying daily and paying attention to the little signs. He has taught me to pray with people and stretch my comfort zone.
2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
The healing of chrissy on Thursday Night really touched me. He moved so drastically and obviously. God healed her while we all prayed at the same time. It sounded like people singing to God. She was weak and He was strong. Beautiful. On Wednesday night we were praying for children to accept Christ and an 8-year-old girl was praying as Megan explained how to ask Jesus into her heart. It touched me to know that as she was growing up that she would now have a friend, a savior, a God…. To help her through her troubles, I was so touched!
3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way.
We were singing at the Friday night service, and I was holding the microphone, I got to sing to God and smile at the people. Some even began to sing in English, and it was beautiful! I got to sing and help people to smile and sing to God! Saturday was the last VBS. I did the closing. I told the kids that if they wanted to accept Jesus to come and we would pray for them. A bunch of girls gathered and I was waiting for a translator. They kept speaking and I didn’t know how to respond. I told them to repeat and they prayed for salvation in English!
4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
My experience here has made me wiser in general. I am going to be a lot more willing to evangelize and pray for people. I will be ready to love everyone, and to keep my eyes on what God wants. I will be a lot less selfish, and I know I will have a better perspective on what Gods timing is, and the way it works. My God is an awesome God.
