1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
God taught me, a continuation of what I’ve been learning that I have to do nothing else but rest in Him and He will move in tremendous ways. I think because we have a river here I thought of this. It is like God moves like a river and all we have to do is jump in. It doesn’t take any work to get swept away by the current because it’s the only thing you can do. Life becomes hard when we try moving on our own against the current, trying to create our own.

2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
On Thursday night it started raining and we gathered all the children under a covering in the street, two of the kids I’d been building relationships with during the week asked me to stay in the country. It was then when it really sunk in that God has really, beyond a shadow of a doubt, called me to this and that He’ll use me no matter what. Later that night those two kids accepted Jesus. That was amazing and I think all of us were crying. Later that night we all prayed for Chrissy’s asthma and God spoke audibly to me about Alyssa. I prayed what He said and later on she told me that was exactly what she needed to hear.

3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way.
Saturday morning at VBS we wanted to pray with the kids and so we ended early and said if any of the kids wanted to be saved to come and pray with one of the adults. God had put two or three kids in my heart from the minute I saw them, kids he wanted to be saved. When the prayer time came those kids joined me to pray. One of them was just so excited about it and near the end ran to get her little sister some food and get me one of her “pulsas” or bracelets. It is the sweetest gift I have ever received and I can truly say from my heart that she is my “hermanita en Cristo” (little sister in Christ.)

4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
A deeper appreciation of God’s amazing power and our incredible blessings, as well as more passion. (I didn’t think I could have anymore about missions.)
