1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
God taught me how material things aren't everything. That I don't need to depend on the things I have, but to depend on God that He is everything I need, and that even though I didn't have all the thing I normally have, I was still fine...because this week I had everything—I have God.
2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
The biggest thing that sticks out in my mind is the story we heard about how the people of D'Iberville survived after the hurricane. The food and volunteers came after the hurricane and the gas grills ran out of gas; but they believed and God knew they needed gas, so miraculously the tanks were full and they lived off of them for another four weeks.
3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way... something that impacted you.
When we were at the beach, and I looked at the sand swirls, I saw four things. At first, I saw the hurricane, then I saw the word LOVE, and looking again, I saw HOPE and finally, LIFE. The way I think about it is the hurricane happened, but yet there is love, life, and hope.
4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
Every time I go on a trip, I change while I'm there, but when I get home I always go back to the way I was. I go back as if nothing has happened. This time I'm going to try my best not to go back the same as before I came.
5. What was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like most?
My favorite part of the trip was when we visited the beach. I had time to think things through and it was so peaceful. Worshiping there was the best.
7. Why do you want to go on this trip?
The one main reason is I want to help because I know if it were me needing the help they would want to help me. Also it would be a great learning experience and will be something I can walk way from and always remember and take great things from.
8. Briefly give your testimony.
Wow, Jesus is such a strong word that helps me with my struggles knowing he is always there and never judging you but loving you. I know I don’t live for Jesus all the time but I am working towards it because I know I want him in my life.
