Ground Zero invites all area
teens to Christmas Party
New London, PA –
December 3, 2003 – DVD players, stereo systems, an xBox, an air hockey table
& a Game Boy Advance plus a ton of other cool gifts will be given away this
year at Ground Zero’s third annual Christmas Party. All area teens in
grades 6-12 are invited to attend Friday, December
19th 2003.
Last year, over
330 teenagers enjoyed over 2 hours of free food, time in the game room, high
energy music in the GZ Auditorium & went home with tons of giveaways in
hand. This year Ground Zero is
expecting over 400 students to attend.
Youth Pastor of the Ground Zero Youth Ministry at New London Presbyterian
Church, Rev. Mike Atkins said, “We just want to reach teens. Our heart is to minister to them in
every way that we can. This
Christmas Party is part of that vision.”
They will be serving up free chicken wings & meatballs. Students should come hungry!!
During the
Christmas Party, there will be time for students to hang out in the ‘Big House
Game Room’ playing pool, foosball, air hockey, xbox, PS2, game cube, chess, ping
pong & other games. There will
also be an hour service where the teens will experience high energy music, a
live band & a great message.
The Jr. High
Christmas Party, for those in 6th – 8th grade will start
promptly at 6
pm and be done at
8
pm. The Sr. High Christmas Party for
those in 9th – 12th grade will start promptly at
8:15
pm and be done at
10:30
pm. Ground Zero asks that parents
assist in making this party a success by dropping off and picking up their
child(ren) on time. As a courtesy
to those parents with a child in Jr. High as well as Sr. High, you may drop off
your Sr. High child when you pick your Jr. High child.
If you would like
to donate food, Ground Zero is in need of drinks and snacks that night including
gallon jugs of lemon iced tea, lemonade, or red fruit punch as well as name
brand, store bought chips, snack food, and cookies.
Ground Zero is
the Youth Ministry of New London Presbyterian Church located in historic
New
London,
PA at 1986 Newark
Road/Rte. 896, 20 minutes north of Newark,
DE just minutes
south of State
Rd. in the heart of
New
London. For safety purposes, please drop off and
