1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
This week was absolutely amazing. God really taught me so much. For one thing I greatly improved my Spanish speaking skills. But that was just the beginning. What God really taught me was that I need to commit all (not most) things to Him. It is very easy to keep things to ourselves… to hide in our “shells” when something happens. But what God wants is for us to be extremely open to Him. I also learned that I need to put 110% in my relationship with God because when I do just like I saw all week… he will BLESS me in so many ways!
2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
There were so many times this week when God touched me. One was Wednesday night when we did a church service. A bunch of us just danced in the street and sang praise songs at the top of our lungs. When people heard us they entered the church! Another was Thursday evening when we did another service, but this ended up being total worship- in an open shed in the rain! Then we gave the children that had joined us the chance to accept Jesus. I prayed with a boy named Yunice and his siblings and then they accepted Christ! It brought me to tears. There are so many other times just like this, so these are just the beginning. The point: God is amazing and faithful- always.
3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way.
God defiantly used me a lot this week. As I previously mentioned He used me when the four children asked Jesus into their lives. That whole night was just filled with prayers from God through me. The spirit was totally moving. Also, at the VBS, I was able to build such a relationship with the kids in just 4 days. It rocked!
4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
I am taking so much home from this trip. The biggest thing I have to say is knowing what needs to be met most to have an alive relationship with Christ. That includes praying daily, listening daily, worshipping daily, And just taking time out of each day to be with God.
