1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
This week God taught me how powerful prayer can be and is coming into the trip. I kind of expected God to do something because it was a mission trip, and in the beginning of the trip, I was looking too far for it. Eventually, I let it go and said, “God, move in me. Use me in the ways You want to.” On Tuesday, the homeowner we met, I got the opportunity to talk to. When we were asked to go back to work, I asked Amanda if I could pray for her. She has a one-year-old girl. I have never been one to pray out loud often, so I really was nervous and really hoped God would give me the right words to say. He did just that. When I was praying, her daughter kept popping in my head, and I felt led to pray for her daughter, so I did. Right before we left, she told us that her father was going to be adopting her daughter because she can't afford to take care of her. When she said that, I knew that that's why I felt led to pray for her daughter. Right there I really knew God was working in and through me, and I really felt the power of prayers throughout the week, and no longer was nervous to pray out loud because I knew God would give me the words to say.

2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
It was Thursday night when I really felt the power of God in my life. We started the service with a few worship songs, and when Tara had a panic attack, we were asked to lay our hands on her and pray out loud, so I did. Drew then asked if anyone else needed prayer, and if they did, to say so. We started praying for a lot of people, and we all really got to see God moving and the power God had to heal people. It was so awesome mostly because every single person I prayed for, and the words that rolled off my tongue, were all God-led. One person that God really moved in, and it really touched me was Allison. One night, she and I got to talking, and she was upset that God had not moved in her yet, and later that night I decided to pray for her because I knew that God wanted to do something amazing in her life, and she really had God moving in her life. This trip I was really blessed by her because of it all, and it is such an awesome thing to see God moving in others.

3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way... something that impacted you.
On Friday night, we went to the beach and we were told to take some time to think about what God had done in our lives throughout the week. I was sitting in the sand, and when I was playing with the sand, I was remembering the bible verse that talked about sand, and I really could not think of it. Then all of a sudden, Allison slides towards me and says, “You know that verse in Psalms about the sand?” and I said “I was just thinking about that!” She then said, “I can't even count this little amount of sand in my hands—and to think God thinks about us that much!” We later found the verse in Psalms 139. I went back to worshiping and thinking. Allison & I had filled a bottle with sand. I was praying and God said to fill another bottle with sand and then put sand in ziplock bags and write the verse Psalms 139:17-18 on it and anytime we stopped on the way home to hand them out to people. As soon as that thought ran through my head, Drew said the trip is not over just because we'll be in the vans—God can still move. When I got to Mississippi at the beginning of the week, I was a little upset we were not going to be doing as much evangelism, and God brought this opportunity to us despite what was originally planned.

4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
Some things I am taking home with me are stronger relationships and the importance of prayer, as well as knowledge on how powerful it is and a realization of God's grace and love that He has for every single one of us. The flame that was lit this week, I want to continue to let glow. I realized that you can't do anything unless God has full control of the situation and is put in the center of my life. When I go home, God will continue to be the center of my life; when I am in school or at home. My life is completely controlled by God. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.”

5. What was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like most?
My favorite parts of the trip were the Thursday & Friday night services. It was cool seeing God moving in the lives of others, as well as my own. The other thing that I did not realize until the end that impacted me was my crew and our job. Being a debris team and not being at one person's house all week gave our team the opportunity to reach out to more people. We really only had two homeowners, and one guy named Don, who talked to us. The thing that I did not realize until the end, was the impact we had on these people. Being a debris team, you don't always feel you are making a difference, but really, you are. I thought that was cool. God gave me all the strength to get through this week.

6. Is there anything else you want to add?
I know I always say this, but I really mean it from my heart: when you allow Christ in your life, you can do all things when you allow Him to use you. You will impact others' lives one at a time. We are the ones who can set this world on fire.

7. Why do you want to go on this trip?
I want to go on this trip because I want to grow closer to Christ. I also want to share the Word with others and help others grow to know Christ.

8. Briefly give your testimony.
I have grown up in a church but it was not until 6th grade that I really accepted Christ into my life. After that I continued to be an active member in the youth group and really just loved being at church. I have really learned a lot and have really grown in my relationship with Christ. I thank God everyday for the talents he has given me and just another day to be in his glory.
