1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
I think what God taught me this week is that even though this trip is over we shouldn't go back to the people we were but the people we became on the trip. That transformed me because after all the retreats and projects RAKE and this trip I'm never really the same person that I was before.
2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
I saw God Thursday night, I saw him that night because Tera and Kai were sick, Tara started to have a panic attack that scarred me. Then Drew said that we should pray for them and everyone did. Then she began to calm down. I was truly surprised that God moved that fast. I also realized that I too had been hurt, God began to work in me so much that after worship I found it hard to concentrate on anything else.
3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way... something that impacted you.
I think he used me Thursday night because some people were really upset and I focused on praying for them. It seemed like people were really being set free. I just felt led to pray. I believe the impact was people really getting set free from what held them.
4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
What I'm going to take home from this trip are memories. The work that I did, the people I hung out with, and the homeowners that I helped. I feel like I'm going to be different because when I was here all I really wanted to do was worship him by singing, and that is how I worshiped. But I also think I'm going to be different because I won't forget what I did here and who helped me with my troubles. I also didn't want to leave because every time I am on a Ground Zero Retreat or mission trip I don't think about the rest of the world.
5. What was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like most?
I don't know what my favorite part was, but I know one of them was going to have worship at the church, and going to have devotions at the beach. The things I liked the most was working with my crew because everyone was so nice and fun to talk with.
6. Is there anything else you want to add?
I want to add that since this is my first mission trip, it was so awesome and great, and when they do another one I want to do it because God has moved me on this trip, a lot.
7. Why do you want to go on this trip?
I want to go on this trip because first of all I’ve never been on a mission trip and people I know who’ve gone on one said they’re great. But I also want to go because just like Project RAKE I like to give back to other people who need it the most. I also want to be so much more closer to God.
8. Briefly give your testimony.
What Jesus has done in my life is help me get through some hard times. He also helps me help other people and I also know if I need to talk to someone he will be there to listen and try and help me or other people that have problems.
