1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
This week God taught me to always keep the faith. Since my crew was on debris, we got to meet a lot of people who had lost a lot—but they still kept the faith.
2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
Worship on Thursday night, people were asking for healing—both spiritually and physically. I saw God so many ways that night.
3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way... something that impacted you.
Tuesday I was cutting a limb and I got very into it. Unfortunately it began to rain, so we hopped into the van to let it pass. Then we went to assess at least 15 homes. Each of these people had a story and the one that touched me the most was a man named Don...
4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
I'm taking home a verse I came across when Holly & I were going to pick up a crew. We stopped at a drugstore and I saw a magnet with my name on it. The verse was Psalms 55:16, “Call on the Lord, and He will rescue you.”
5. What was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like most?
Working and just seeing Christ's love in many different people & ways.
7. Why do you want to go on this trip?
The reason why I want to go on this trip is to expand my relationship with Christ and help the victims of the hurricane.
8. Briefly give your testimony.
To me, Jesus is my Savior who died for my sins. To me Jesus is the true Savior and is showing me how to serve his name everyday whether that be in sports or just here at home.
