1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
God taught me that we should be thankful for what we have—the people down here have lost almost everything, and still they never cease to give. I want to have an attitude like that.
2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
Having worship at the beach Friday night really touched me. When we were sitting on the beach and thinking about all of the devastation that occurred eleven months ago because of the hurricane, it really made you think and reflect on how truly blessed we are.
3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way... something that impacted you.
When we were helping the homeowners on roofs. It really made me feel good to know that I helped put a roof over someone's head and make them feel more at home.
4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
I'm going to bring home with me a more helpful attitude with me—an attitutde of servitude.
5. What was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like most?
I had two favorite parts: I really enjoyed working on the roofs for people, but I also really loved all of the worship (I love singing), but especially worship on the beach Friday night.
7. Why do you want to go on this trip?
Not to think of myself, but to try to give back to them not just material things but hope for a better day to the people down there. I love to help people. My mom has always told em ther’s always people in worse situations than us. And I know this will be a great experience for me that we should thank God for things and loved ones. Because there are a lot of people who have it …
8. Briefly give your testimony.
Jesus means to me love, hope, faith, and caring for everyone in the world.
