1. What did God teach you this week? How did it transform you?
This week God taught me that if I open up my mind and eyes, I am free to learn so much more about what He has to offer. God also taught me to be patient with answers I want from him, and people in general. This transformed me because I have more faith in Him to get he answers I need when the time is right.
2. Tell at least one experience you had where you saw the power of God and it touched you.
I experienced the power of God in the church on Thursday night. When Tara was shaking uncontrollably and had a fever. We all prayed for her. I saw God's healing power when she stopped shaking and got better, as well as everyone we prayed for.
3. Tell of one experience where God used you in a powerful way... something that impacted you.
On Friday, our homeowner, Duck, was at the YMCA in the morning. I had to use the bathroom, so I walked over to her neighbor's house, and actually began to talk with her about her house, life, etc. We all then prayed with her, and she had tears in her eyes, showing out appreciative she was of us, and that we had helped her in so many ways, and I believe that is how God used me in a powerful way.
4. What are you going to take home with you? How are you going to be different?
When I go home, I'm going to spend more time with God every day. I'm going to take home all the new friends I made, and the memories of this week; as well as of my homeowners, and their stories/lives.
5. What was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like most?
My favorite part of the trip was definitely meeting new people, since I've never gone to RAKE or anything, but more importantly, growing close to God.
6. Is there anything else you want to add?
I loved the worship at the beach, and being outside with others, worshiping God.
7. Why do you want to go on this trip?
I want to go on this trip because I love to reach out and help others and to spread God’s word.
8. Briefly give your testimony.
In my daily life, Jesus means a tremendous amount to me. I look to him when I have a problem, when I’m worried, for advice, or thanks. I worship him daily by prayers, singing to some of my Christian music, or by attending church or FCA. And I feel as though I am growing with Him more and more each day.
